Annihilated is a story-driven roguelite RPG from developer Death Kumiai and publisher Flashlight Games. The hero's party has been annihilated in a cursed dungeon: the Hero lost the ability to speak, the Mage lost her magic, the Warrior lost his body, and the Priest lost something redacted. You play the last survivor of the rescue party and can carry only one of them out.

What is Annihilated?

Annihilated is built around one brutal premise: the hero's party went missing deep in a cursed dungeon, and when the rescue party finally reaches its members, each one is broken in a different way. The Hero lost the ability to speak and now works with only the words Yes and No. The Mage lost her magic but not her knowledge. The Warrior lost his mighty body — his soul now lives in an adorable doll, and he seems delighted about it. The Priest lost something the developer redacts with blocks, and he recently converted to something called the Great One.

Gameplay runs through turn-based card battles where every item is a card with limited uses and enemies telegraph their next move. Weapons are strongest on their final use, so staggering a foe and landing a weapon's last strike triggers a fatal strike: an instant kill that steals the enemy's equipment. Broken gear leaves Curses behind, which you spend to erase bad rolls, forge the items you need, or bank as experience when you retry from the floor where you fell.

Annihilated Fatal Strike

The instant-kill mechanic explained: stagger a foe, land a weapon's final use, kill it instantly and steal its equipment. Every weapon is strongest on its last use, so breaking gear pays.
